1. Controller
Constructio is operated by Talivio Technology OÜ (Estonian Commercial Register no. 16991406, Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn). For company details see talivio.com/impressum. Contact: [email protected].
2. Data we process
- Account: name, email address, password hash (plain-text passwords are never stored), Talivio Accounts link identifier, and the dates of registration and acceptance of the terms.
- Project content: the project details you enter (location, block/parcel, floor areas), phases, line items, prices, payments, contact details of tradespeople and suppliers, and the documents you upload.
- Location and site: the location coordinates you mark for the project, the parcel boundary you draw on the map, and orientation and level information; the 3D model and the site and climate summaries are derived from these and stored with the project.
- IFC models: when you use “Quantities from IFC”, the IFC file is read in your browser and is not uploaded. Only the measured totals, the list of measured items (with the element names and tags from your model) and, if you send it to the 3D model, the derived floor plan are saved with the project.
- Price lists: a price list you give the cost wizard (PDF, Excel, CSV or pasted table) is also read in your browser and is not uploaded; only the unit prices you choose and their source line are saved.
- Price library: the unit prices you save in the cost wizard are kept in your account as your price library and suggested in your next projects; other users do not see them.
- Site photos: photos you upload to the work plan phases are stored like documents and visible only to the project team. Photos may contain location data written by the camera (EXIF); files are stored as uploaded.
- Assistant: the messages you write to the AI assistant and its replies (stored with the project).
- Technical: session cookie, IP address and error logs (for security and troubleshooting, kept for a limited period).
3. Purposes and legal basis
We process data to provide the service (performance of a contract), to keep your account secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests), and to comply with legal obligations. We do not profile you for advertising and we do not sell your data.
4. Personal data within project content
You are the controller for the information about tradespeople, suppliers and team members that you add to a project; we only store it on your behalf. It is your responsibility to inform these people.
5. Sharing
Data is shared only with the people you invite to a project. For our infrastructure we use hosting (servers within the EU), an email delivery service and the Talivio Accounts identity service. Error logs are sent to Talivio's central monitoring system.
Maps and climate: to provide site and climate information (elevation, historical weather data, short-term forecast), the project coordinates are sent from our server to Open-Meteo. Your address searches are forwarded from our server to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service. Your name and email address are not included in these requests. Map tiles are loaded by your browser directly from OpenStreetMap, which means your IP address reaches OpenStreetMap.
AI assistant: when you use the assistant (including when you ask it to read a photo of a floor plan), your messages, that photo and the project data the assistant reads in order to answer are forwarded via the Talivio AI gateway to AI providers and processed solely to generate the answer. This data is not used for advertising.
6. Retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, the projects and documents you own are permanently deleted; they are removed from backups within 30 days at the latest.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, data portability and objection. You can download your data as a ZIP file via My account → Download my data, and delete it yourself via Delete account. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or the authority in your country of residence.
8. Cookies
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the session and for security (CSRF). Visit statistics are collected without cookies and without identifying you.
9. Changes
When we update this text, the date changes; we will notify you of significant changes by email.
10. SketchUp extension
The Constructio extension for SketchUp works locally on your computer. It reads the groups, components, names, IFC types and geometry of the open model to show the checks and the quick take-off, and it writes only into your model: the names, IFC types and attributes (the “constructio” dictionary) of the parts you select. The extension does not send your model or any other data to us or to third parties, has no telemetry and needs no Constructio account. Your language choice is stored in SketchUp's settings on your computer.
“Export IFC” saves a file on your computer. Only if you then upload that file on the site does the processing described under “IFC models” in section 2 apply (the file is read in your browser; only the totals are saved). “Open the website” opens constructio.talivio.com in your browser.
If you obtain the extension through Trimble's SketchUp Extension Warehouse, the download, any purchase, payment and licence are handled by Trimble under its own privacy policy; we do not receive your payment details. A licence check, if any, is done by SketchUp's own licensing service.
